Fleet operations have begun starting in sector 001.
The SBO has been called into full service and many members have mobilized and heeded the call to report for duty.
I have recieved orders from Starfleet Command that I am to prepare this wing of operation for combat with the Klingon Empire within the week.
It is my hope that more members of SBO will either come out of retirement or be reassigned to SBO for the upcoming conflicts. The more skilled Captains with us, the better our chances.
I am humbled to be in the position of leadership over this great organization and am humbled by the faith others have put in me. I hope I can perform to standard for them!
I will be commnding the USS Burke for the time being as the McElroy is in space dock for repiars following my recent battle with Borg in the Vega system.

Its has only been a few days since I was tasked with getting the memebers of SBO back together for Starfleet operations and it has already proven to be both a blessing and a burden.
I have been overwhelmed with the task of getting the foundation of he SBO established before I an temporarily reassigned to deployment to the Delta quadrant for a deep survey mission. I am scheduled to depart in a month and will be gone for at least four to six months.
During that time I need to appoint a temporary successor and I am not sure yet who to entrust to this position. It is my hope that over the next few weeks I am able to divise whome to call upon to replace me wihle I am gone.
During the Borg attack at the Vega colony I learned that one of my most trusted friends was abducted and assimilated. I have been greiving over the, what I thought was a loss, of my friend.
However, I recieved word from Admiral Gaval that Chappy was recovered before his cube was destroyed. He has since been cleared by Starfleet medical and he is returing to the Hazzard as Captain tomorrow.
I have assigned myself to the Klingon front for the time being, as such I am transfering my crew and command to this ship and leaving the Burke at spacedock.
Once again I am amazed at the work my Fleet has effected over the past few days in the war with the Klingons.
I am setting course for the Briar Patch. Apparently the Klingons are hidding something there and I have been asked to investigate. I have asked Ensign Sylthia to accompany me on this mission.

The Santiago entered the Briar Patch at 0200 hours this morning to investigate the reports of Klingons installing a listening post and base of operation. What we found was far more troubling.
After intering the Patch we were met with automated defenses, but we easily passed through them. Upon entering the base we found a pair of federation scientist who had been captured. They informed me that they were helping the Klingon research and develop some kind of new and very power weapons.
We managed to destroy the weapons on hand, but the data we downloaded from thier database suggest that there are more warheads out there. I sent my report to Admiral Quinn and was ordered to return to the Klingon front.
At 2130 we received a distress call from the Xythia. My good friend and fellow SBO member Captain Joe was being pursued by a fleet of Klingon and Gorn vessels.
Other SBO heard the call and responded. Captains Yoda, Grimblood, Bedsheet, and Gaval met up with me and we intercepted the Xythia near the Veyga system near theKlingon/Federation boarder.
We we out gunned 3 to 1, but our superior skill won out and we only suffered minor casualties between the crews of all the ships in out fleet.
I am amazed at what we have been able to accomplish seeing as most of the Fleet's ships were serverly damaged or destroyed during the Vega attack by the Borg. Starfleet has had to bring lots of older boats out of mothballs to use during the time required to repair the fleet. Thankfully only a few vessels were destroyed. Sorrowfully I received word that the Draconis was one of the ships we lost. We have not received word if Captain Chanlier survived the destruction of his ship or not.
The powers that be tell me that most of the SBO fleet should be repaired within the month, but some vessels may take longer to finish. Some are receiving some new retrofits and it will make battle with the Klingons a bit smoother.
End Log.

I was concerned that our recent mission into the Briar Patch was just the tip of the iceburg rith regards to the Klingon's activities inside Federation Space.
Our intel from the Briar Patch lab sent us out to the boarder where we encounted a group of renegade Klingons who were using the Gaurdian of Forever to alter the timeline. The kidnapped Miral Paris of the USS Kirk. We rescued the Kirk from a Klingon infestation and found out about Miral's capture.
Following the Klingons to the Gateway system My crew and I followed the kidnappers into the past (early 2300s). We encountered the USS Enterprise under attack from Klingons from our century.
We successfuly recovered Lt. Paris and found out they these Klingons were trying to use her blood to create a more perfect genetic Klingon. We returned to our time and found it just as we left it.
As adventerous as this mission was it was not all we've encountered.
The weapons we found in the Briar Patch left specific traces that my science officer was able to trace to the Imaga system. Our long range scans detected a fleet of Klingon ships orbiting the planet and around the outskirts of the moon that was recently destroyed during the Dominion War.
I put out a call to all avaliable SBO Officers. Captains Adjudicator, Grimblood, Bedsheet, and Koral answered.
We took the fight to the defenders around Imaga and suffered no losses. The Klingons had a massive base on the planet, housing the deadly weapons; some kind of prototype torpedo.
In true SBO form we stealthed around the base and managed to beam the torpedos to our ships. The last batch was our only real problem, as it was heavily defended inside the walls of the compound.
Upon beaming back to our ships we discovered something horrible. The Klingons had somehow managed to gain control of the Doomsday device! This is a space creature of unknown origins and capable of destroying planets.
My cheif engineer theorized that we could use the radiation at the center of the now destroyed moon to power the prototype weapons and then use them to destroy the Doomsday creature.
The radiation overpowered the torpedos perfectly, but after several vollies it seemeda s though our plan was not going to be successful. Captains Bedsheet and Adjudicator discovered that the monster had a moment of weakness right after its deadly power beam attacks.
The fleet positioned itself to fired all torpedos after one of the beams was fired. The Fluffy and the Santiago were nearly destroyed in the blast, but we survived and the torpedos obliderated the monster!
The remaining Klingon forces in space warped out after seeing the destruction of the creature.
I ordered Grimblood and Koral back to the to destroy the Klingon base from orbit. We all then warped out and returned to SBO HQ in the Dace system for repairs.
I've given my crew the next few days off for R & R. When we depart in 48 hrs we are heading to the Sierra Sector near Romulan space.
Command has intel that suggest things are not all quiet on the northern fornt of the Federation. Given that Admiral Sela is now in charge I think that we are in for an interesting deployment.
End Log.

Guys,
It boggles my mind that you still use the white background skin.
Do yourselves a favor and use the DARK skin available in the control panel.
Danny is using it and Yellow on a black starfield is quite easy on the eyes.
How did you go this long usin that ugly *insert bad word here* default skin on these forums?! SERIOUSLY?! 5 years?!

Yeah, that's what I figured. Personally, I use the Professional theme, which does have a white background but looks better than the default, in my opinion.

Once again, the positive and negative extremes seem to plague my crew and I. We recently dispatched to Starbase 39 and ordered to rendezvous with Admiral T’nae. We arrived at the Starbase yesterday at 1830 hrs. As I was on my way to the Admiral’s office I bumped into an old member of SBO, my former Wing Commander Devilldog! I found it ironic that on my way to the Romulan front of Federation Space I would bump into him, due to the many different battles we fought against the Romulans in our former days in Wing 3. I informed him that SBO had been reconstituted in 2403 due to the Klingon conflict and the return of the Borg. He expressed interest in rejoining the Fleet, which put a smile on my face! I told him to consider himself reactivated and I would take care of the paperwork.
I then went on to my meeting with the Admiral. We discussed the areas of concern regarding the movements of the Empire.
As I was returning to the transporter I was stopped by Admiral Zelle about some Intel she had received concerning subspace weapons development in the Vendor system. She asked that I take her to the research station to investigate and I agreed. My past issues with the Romulans and mistrusting them may have had a role in why she would ask me to assist her in this investigation. We met with resistance from the start.
The station was guarded by multiple ships, which we had to destroy. Also there was a strong military presence aboard the station. After unsuccessfully searching for the subspace weapons we raided the station commanders office to get a look at the station files. My ops officer discovered that there never was any weapons research going on there. Medical research was the only thing that this station was used for. Admiral Zelle also turned out to be a member of species 8472 and was trying to assume the role of the station’s commander, in which she was successful.
The Santiago then came under fire from Romulan reinforcements. We beamed back over to pursue Zelle, but our warp drive was disabled in the attack. We would have been destroyed as well had it not been for the timely arrival of several SBO ships.
The Santiago is now out of commission so I have claimed a vessel from Starbase 39, an Akira class cruiser, the Gojira. Utopia tells me that the Odyssey will be ready within the month and that the McElroy may be available sooner, but not to hold my breath. I also lost several crewmembers on this mission. Their families have been notified and I have vowed to find Zelle and make her play for this ultimate treachery! It’s great to get Devildog back, but sobering to lose others and a ship…all in the same day. Our time here on the Romulan front seems like it is going to be very interesting.
End Log.
